The Role:
The successful candidate can expect to primarily be carting livestock from St George and Roma to Kilcoy in the South Burnett and down to Tamworth in northern New South Wales on a regular basis. In addition, grain is taken from the properties at St George to the GrainCorp depot and gravel is carted locally. At times if required, other machinery operating may be required of a grader or tractor however truck driving is the predominate role.
The Person:
- To hold a current, unrestricted MC road train licence.
- To have experience carting livestock and grain.
- To have ideally carted livestock previously and have a sound stock sense and knowledge of low stress stock handling and animal welfare practices.
- To bring a sound mechanical skill set to the position and be capable of carrying out basic maintenance (a mechanic is employed to do major maintenance work).
- The successful Truck Driver will ideally call St George home. A range of accommodation options are available and various requirements should be discussed upon application.
- The successful candidate will have their own transport to travel between St George & the truck depot 20k from town.
- Current MC licence.
- Online copy of driving history.
