Who we’re looking for
As an experienced mining Truck Driver, you will have a proven track record of safely operating heavy mining equipment, with a focus on efficiency and precision. As a vital member of our Ridgeway operations, you will play a crucial role in transporting materials within our mining site while adhering to strict safety protocols and operational guidelines.
Key deliverables of this role include, but not limited to:
- Safely operate and manoeuvre large mining trucks within designated areas of the mine site.
- Transport materials to designated locations within the mine.
- Conduct pre-operational checks on mining trucks.
- Adhere to all safety procedures and regulations to minimise risks and maintain a safe work environment.
- Communicate effectively with other team members and supervisors to coordinate trucking activities and ensure smooth operations.
- Report any equipment malfunctions, incidents, or safety hazards promptly to appropriate personnel.
- Undertake specific tasks as directed by the Underground Shift Supervisor.
About You
We are looking for safety focused and team-oriented individuals who have:
- A good attitude and commitment to workplace health and safety
- Experience in and sound knowledge of underground metalliferous mining
- Experience in operating a truck (rigid or articulated)
- The ability to stay focused, motivated, and work well within a team when carrying out repetitive tasks.
- A current manual drivers’ licence
Please note: This is a permanent, residential role (no DIDO/FIFO). You will be initially required to work a 7D/7X roster.
