Job Description:Freshwater State School P&C Association is seeking an enthusiastic and organised Tuckshop Convenor to oversee the day-to-day operations of our school tuckshop. The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing healthy and delicious meals and snacks to our students, staff, and visitors.
Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of tuckshop operations, including menu planning, food preparation, and serving.
- Cater afternoon tea for Freshwater Outside School Hours Care.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards.
- Maintain inventory levels, order supplies, and manage stock rotation.
- Develop nutritious and appealing menu options that cater to the diverse needs and preferences of students and staff.
- Provide excellent customer service to students, parents, and staff members.
- Recruit, train, and supervise tuckshop volunteers.
- Collaborate with the P&C Association and school administration to develop and implement tuckshop policies and procedures.
- Monitor tuckshop finances, including cash handling, record-keeping, and reporting.
- Actively promote healthy eating habits and educate students about nutrition.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in food service, hospitality, or a similar role preferred.
- Strong organisational and leadership skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and hygiene practices.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
- A passion for promoting healthy eating habits among children.
- Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain).
