We currently have an opening for a Tyre Fitter / Warehouse operator to join our Service Team at Bassendean. Initially, tyre fitting will be approximately 10% of the work and warehouse operations will be 90%. As we grow the business however, the tyre fitting will become approximately 60% of the work and warehouse operations will be approximately 40%.
The tyre fitting will involve the repair, fit & service of large tyres to a wide variety of machinery on the ports. The warehouse operations will involve unloading containers, operating forklifts and delivering product to site.
Whilst the work does involve manual handling and is physically demanding, we will continue to invest in technology to reduce the physical demands of the position as we transition to a more technology-based service solution.
Our ideal candidate will have experience in a range of industrial and OTR tyres but we are also keen to hear from individuals with experience in truck and passenger tyres. We will also consider candidates without any tyre experience if they have a strong desire to learn.
We are seeking an individual who is enthusiastic, reliable and has a positive attitude and someone who is willing to grow and develop with the business.
Your duties will include:
- Completing all tasks in a safe manner
- Fitting of industrial tyres
- Warehousing and stock control
- Organising and prioritising work instructions
- Completing relevant paperwork
Whilst a forklift, MR or HR license is preferred, they are not essential, and we are willing to support the right candidate to obtain the required licenses.
All candidates will be required to complete a medical if successful.
