Ug Geologist

Moolarben Coal mine is Australia's largest thermal coal producer and has both Underground and Open cut operations producing over 21 million tpa. It has over 800 employees with employees residing in the beautiful Mudgee area, with all the facilities for a fantastic family lifestyle.

Reporting to the Underground Technical Services Superintendent, you will be a part of a dynamic and motivated team. The role will require you to:

• Be responsible for the Management and Continuous Improvement of Moolarben's UG Geology Management Systems.
• Undertake Underground Inspections and Geological Mapping
• Undertake Exploration Planning and Management
• Be responsible for Coal Quality Planning and Reconciliations
• Be responsible for the Underground Geological Budget

Essential Criteria:

• Tertiary qualifications in Geology
• Minimum of 2 years previous experience in similar role
• Comprehensive knowledge of mining legislation, best practice industry standards and risk management.
• Strong safety focus, high standards and engineering ability.
• Persons that have a practical, team-based background will be highly regarded.
