Senior Resource Definition Geologist

Mineral Hill has successfully restarted operations and is transitioning from tailings reclaim and processing to Open Pit and Underground mining and production . Mine extension and exploration targets are waiting for your keen eye, geology expertise and Resource modelling skills.

This role is pivotal to Mineral Hill and Kingston and is an opportunity to lead and develop a portfolio of new and existing Mineral Resources, and build, maintain and convert Resources to Ore Reserves to support the longer-term plan.

The Mineral Hill operation is a diverse close knit and dynamic team providing an opportunity to influence the project and shareholder value of Kingston Resources.

In this role you can expect to:

• Lead Resource Definition and the transition to open pit and underground mining at Mineral Hill
• De-risk and extend the site Life of Mine by increasing resources and reserves, and advancing near mine exploration targets
• Planning, implementation and supervision of drilling programmes and contractor
• Spatial and geological data collection and management and QAQC
• Create and develop dynamic geology and resource models  
• Prepare, present and track annual resource and reserve definition drilling budgets
• Work with Mining Engineering, Metallurgists and Geotechnical Engineers to deliver projects to operational teams ready for mining.
• Working with the exploration team sitting next to you to develop, feed, test, and evaluate near mine and exploration targets.
• Knowledge of operational geology function to enable development and implementation of operations systems and processes
• Coaching and management of up-and-coming geologists – Excellent people management opportunity
• Roster/ FIFO/ DIDO flexible for the right candidate

About You:

• Proven leadership and technical skills for this dynamic role 
• Advanced experience with and understanding of geology modelling and resource estimation
• Advanced experience with spatial data collection, management and QAQC
• A people person with technical, operational and tactical strategic thinking 
• Are you: a critical thinker, agile, a go-getter, have a ‘can-do’ attitude, positive?
• Bachelor of Science from a recognised institution.
• Current Australian Drivers Licence (Manual 4x4).
