The modern-day, 3rd Generation UH-60M Black Hawk helicopter is the world's leading multi-role battlefield and special operations helicopter with a proven legacy of exceptional capability and reliability.   • Tertiary qualifications (Certificate IV or above) in the relevant discipline Aeroskills - Mechanical from a recognised institution
  • Appropriate aircraft trade qualifications (e.g. trade papers, apprenticeship, indentures etc)
  • DASR 66 Category B1.3 on your MAML
  • An understanding of Plan, Brief, Execute, Debrief (PBED) principles
  • Experience in a Defence Aviation environment
  • Good understanding of the effects of Human Factors in Maintenance
  • A good knowledge and understanding of the requirements of DASA or EASA regulatory frameworks.
  • Good technical knowledge and experience working on helicopters and/or components
  • Computer literacy with an ability to produce, analyse, and interpret complex reports and information
  • Intermediate skills and experience in the use of MS Office and other relevant software packages and applications

Special Requirements:Applicants are required to be Australian Citizens and hold a current or restorable NV1 Defence Security Clearance.Applicants must be able to satisfy the US Government ITAR and EXIM requirements.Employment may be contingent on the satisfactory result of criminal and/or other background screens, which require the collection and transfer of personal information.This role will be based at Holsworthy.Your responsibilities will include:As an Aircraft Technician Certifier B1.3 for the UH-60M sustainment program, you will undertake aircraft maintenance activities and certify for maintenance carried out by you within the scope of your MAML privileges and in accordance with local and international aviation standards.Your responsibilities will include:
  • Perform Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) tasks within the scope of your MAML and in accordance with all regulatory and customer standards as required.
  • Ensure personal skills, knowledge, qualifications, authorisations and capability are maintained and developed in order to support current and planned projects.
  • Assign resources to ensure required maintenance activities are performed safely, efficiently and effectively with minimum cost.
  • Other general aviation tasks and duties as directed by Team Leads/Supervisors and LMA Managers.
