Ui/Ux Designer

Our federal government client is seeking to engage an experienced User Experience and User Interface Designer to work as part of multiple Agile delivery teams to deliver multiple projects. The Designer will work in Agile teams in their high-profile development projects. This is a fast-paced environment, and they require an enthusiastic, professional Designers who have experience working on large, complex projects.

As a UI/UX Designer, your duties will include, but are not limited to:

• Distilling complex and/or technical written information into a format that is able to be understood by non-technical audience.
• Working as a member of a team to develop design solutions for multiple channels, including print and online.
• Lead and/or work collaboratively on projects, providing expert and timely advice to ensure high design standards across key projects.
• Ability to understand the Departments Policy environment and apply to Project outcomes, digital solutions and the desired user experience.
• Provide design guidance and solutions throughout the Project lifecycle to support the Departments User needs.
• Ensuring solutions that you produce comply with WCAG 2.1 accessibility guidelines and Digital Transformation Agency recommendations.

The successful candidate must have:

• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with and influence technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels by clearly articulating your vision, design concepts and recommendations through thoughtful storytelling in the context of the business problems to be solved and desired behavioural outcomes.
• Demonstrated experience in typesetting for (print) and UI/UX (digital) design experience for online products and using Adobe Creative Suite software such as InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and XD, in a Microsoft environment.
• Extensive experience in the design of digital services for large organizations and government
• Exceptional visual communication skills, including the ability to communicate technical information graphically to non-technical audiences.
