The Opportunity
We have partnered with a client who is seeking an Underground Electrician, to join the team at their expanding underground mine operations in Kalgoorlie, Western Australia. This position will see you working a 7:7 Residential Roster and FIFO will not be considered.
The Responsibilities
Working as an Underground Electrician, you will be responsible for the servicing, maintenance and fault finding of our client’s underground electrical equipment, ensuring full compliance with all relevant statutory requirements and safety regulations.
Your key duties will include:
- Monthly scheduled statutory requirements.
- Installation of underground reticulation
- Ensuring daily statutory documentation is completed
- Ensuring electrical testing is completed and recorded to comply with electrical standards
- Update of single line drawings, asset registers and installation tasks prior to the end of shift, as required
- Maintenance of underground drilling equipment
- Installation of tele-remote systems.
- Installation of underground communication systems
- Underground electrical plant maintenance and repair
- Attending pre-start meetings and safety meetings
The Requirements
- Unrestricted WA Electrical Licence
- Relevant Electrical Trade Qualification
- Current High Voltage Switching certificate (Desirable)
- Electrical Instrumentation and Automation certificate (Desirable)
- Senior First Aid (Desirable)
- Ability to pass National Police Clearance check\
- Full Australian work rights
