Westfill is a specialised underground mining contractor and service provider based in Western Australia, with decades of boots-on-the-ground experience and practical knowledge to provide quality personnel, products and operational contract services into the underground mining industry.
Based out on our client sites on a 2:2 Roster; we are looking for Underground HV Electricians that have extended experience in Underground Mining. You will be reporting into the Electrical Superintendent based in the Goldfields.
Responsibilities:
As a at Westfill, you will play a pivotal role in applying your expertise in the electrical space to the maintenance team.
Your responsibilities will include; installation, preventative maintenance and statutory testing of surface and underground electrical and communications infrastructure and equipment which consists of but not limited to:
- HV and LV supply cables
- Starterpanels and switchboards
- ventilation systems
- communication systems
- Pumping systems
- Perform breakdowns on mobile and fixed plant equipment
- Mobile drilling machine servicing
Qualifications:
- A current WA Electrical Workers License
- Current Australian Manual Driver’s License
- Working at heights
- HV Switching Ticket
- Current Police Clearance (no less than 3 months old)
- Current Senior First Aid / LV/CPR Rescue
- Full Australian Working Rights
- Sound knowledge of AS/NZS 3000 Wiring Rules
