About the role:
Due to increasing workloads and new opportunities we are delighted to offer opportunities to join our growing team on this exciting and nationally significant, SNOWY 2.0 Project.
Your roster will be 14/14 with meals and accommodation provided while on shift.
No two days are the same in the lives of our Site Supervisors, therefore adaptability, a cool head under pressure, an ability to prioritise tasks, and provide superb levels of customer service are key to their success.
What you will be doing:
- You will be tasked with leading and motivating onsite teams of talented Blasting Professionals and Operators, to ensure safe and efficient delivery of services on our customer site;
- Providing analytical/decision-making support to the Project Manager on continuous improvement planning to decrease operational costs;
- Recruiting, training and retaining employees; and
- Scheduling the onsite team's daily activities to meet customer requirements and ensure sound management of site including raw material ordering and preventative maintenance.
- Incident management and reporting.
What you will bring:
- Most importantly, championing our most important value - Safety is the priority, always;
- Previous underground and/or heavy industry experience is essential;
- Knowledge and/or experience in Drill & Blast would be highly regarded;
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a leadership role responsible for people, assets and customers;
- A NSW Dangerous Goods licence or the ability to obtain one; and
- The ability to pass a comprehensive pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol.
