SalaryThe Midfield Group is a major player in the Meat Processing industry. A wholly owned Australian company with global reach, its main production facility is based in Warrnambool, Victoria.
Midfield now has over 200 positions available for immediate start, within a stable work environment (additional overtime is available) for unskilled workers with no experience in Meat Processing.
About you
- You must be reliable, physically fit and willing to work as part of a team
- You understand the importance of good hygiene, attention to detail and following procedures
- You must have the right to work fulltime in Australia (38 hours/week)
- You must pass a drug & alcohol test and be willing to undergo a pre-employment medical if required
- You have already had a Q Fever vaccination or are willing to participate in the vaccination process.
About the Role:
- Packing of meat into boxes or plastic bag.
- Marshalling of carcasses and carton into refrigerator, freezers and shipping container, manual lifting required
- General tidying up slaughter floors and boning rooms, by using shovels and brooms
- Assisting with removal of hides, fore & hind hock from carcasses, manual and mechanical.
- Attaching a shackle chain around the rear leg of a cattle and lifting carcasses forelegs into cleats in the slaughter chain
- Removal of animal tail by using a knife
- Folding pre-cut carboard into a carton and insert plastic liner
What We offer:
- Pay above the Meat Industry Award rate, from $23.00 per hour plus Super and applicable Leave entitlements as per the National Employment Standard. Penalties and overtime rate available.
