About this role
This multi-disciplinary practice sees themselves as a partner to cities, delivering high quality, innovative projects with creativity and passion. They are seeking a passionate Urban Designer to provide sustainable solutions to cities and complex urban and regional environments.
As an Urban Designer in the Brisbane studio, you’ll be working with principals, leads and clients to provide innovative and creative urban design concepts and solutions to both public and private sector clients.
Key Responsibilities
Use your fundamental understanding of the environmental, social and urban challenges to produce design concepts
Develop sustainable strategies and solutions within the master-planning design team
Respond to project opportunities in the preparation of proposals and responses to tenders
Work as part of an agile team, with the ability to shift and change across varying projects and phases
Provide guidance, training, motivation and direction to junior members of the team
Work on a range of district, city, and precinct scale projects in Queensland and across the region moving between strategic and conceptual ideas to typology and streetscape detail
Skills & Experience
3-4+ years experience with relevant qualification in Architecture, Urban Design or Landscape Design
Optimistic and motivated all-rounder, with strong organisational and visual and written communication skills
Ability to work as part of and manage small teams, inspiring design excellence
Strong conceptual design ability and commitment to sustainable design principles
Experience on complex urban design and regeneration projects
Experience with Rhino, SketchUp and Grasshopper, with other associated parametric design experience will be highly regarded.
Experience in Adobe Suite is a must
