- Salary up to $118,449.68 p.a. plus 11% superannuation
- Potential to earn a market rate allowance up to $18, 545.00 based on skills and experience

Woollahra Council has an exciting opportunity available for an experienced Project Manager to lead and manage our newly created Urban Forest Strategy Team
Reporting to the Manager Open Space and Trees, you will contribute to the Urban Forest Strategy with an emphasis on growing Woollahra’s tree canopy. Your comprehensive experience and understanding of tree management practices and strong leadership skills will set you up for success in this role.
About you
Our council is passionate about our community’s future footprint and our Urban Forest Strategy is a key part of this. To be successful you will be a driven individual with extensive experience in project management. You will have the following skills;
Essential Criteria
- Relevant aboricultural, horticultural or landscape qualifications (minimum Level 5 AQF) and/or Tertiary qualification in Environmental Science or similar relevant field.
- Demonstrated comprehensive experience and understanding of tree management practices and/or horticultural best practices.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team and its functions.
- Demonstrated experience in the development of tree/horticultural/landscape strategies, plans and guidelines.
- High level project management skills, involving the planning, coordinating, engaging and delivering of projects that achieve organisational goals
- Demonstrated relevant experience in the engagement and supervision of consultants and/or contractors.
- Proven customer service management skills including conflict resolution
- High standard written and verbal communication skills
- Current NSW Drivers Licence
Desirable Criteria
- Experience in Local Government
- Experience in Asset Management Systems
- Experience in the development of and or the delivery of Urban Forest or similar urban greening strategies
