The main focus of the Used Car Group Sales Manager is directing a team of sales staff to achieve volume growth targets while ensuring complete customer satisfaction is delivered.

Key job functions & Accountabilities
The role carries out a range of duties related to the selling of used vehicles, including:
- Maintaining a high knowledge level about vehicles and products
- Ability to understand cost benefits reasoning analysis among product range and communicate to clients
- Managing a team of sales professionals with a commitment to personal improvements and team objectives
- Understanding the customer objectives, buying criteria, and decision-making processes
- Forming long term business partnerships with customers to leverage future transactions/ purchases
- Identifying the needs of customers by providing in-depth advice and service
- Assisting in the purchase process of a used vehicle
- Conducting product demonstrations (as needed) and coordinating the preparation of product delivery ensuring specific deal agreements (extras/ options) are completed.
- Demonstrating behaviours that align with company policies
- Lead management across all Used Car sites
- Participate in all used vehicle valuations
- Managing the reconditioning process from acquisition to presentation, including all administration related to this
- Ensure all online advertising is timely and exceptionally presented
- Follow through on all commitments to customers, other departments and sales staff
- Be involved in developing all marketing campaigns
- Manage the wholesale of unrequired vehicles
Essential Skills/Qualifications/Experience
- Minimum 2 years experience in a sales role with a proven sales record, preferably in the retail automotive industry
- Minimum 2 years experience in managing a sales team and working with other departments in the business
- Current and valid driver’s license and the ability to drive manual transmission
- Proficient computer skills
- Exceptional communication skills
- Ability to build effective relationships with customers resulting in sales

Desirable Skills/Qualifications Experience
