Due to significant growth Westernport Ford Hyundai and MG, a proud member of the Tony White Group located on the Mornington peninsula, is seeking an exceptional Used Car Manager to lead our pre-owned vehicle department which consistently delivers 100 USED VEHICLEs per month. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of the Velocity Model and dynamic pricing strategies to maximise sales and profitability. This role requires a results-driven individual with a passion for the automotive industry and a proven track record in managing used car operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inventory Management:
- Oversee the acquisition, reconditioning, and disposal of used car inventory.
- Utilise the Velocity Model to ensure optimal inventory turnover and maximise profitability.
- Implement dynamic pricing strategies to adjust vehicle prices based on market conditions, demand, and competitive analysis.
- Sales Leadership:
- Lead, mentor, and motivate the used car sales team to achieve sales targets and deliver exceptional customer service.
- Develop and execute sales strategies to enhance the department’s performance.
- Monitor and analyse sales metrics, ensuring continuous improvement in sales processes and customer satisfaction.
- Customer Relations:
- Foster a customer-centric culture, ensuring a positive experience for all used car buyers.
- Address customer inquiries, concerns, and feedback promptly and professionally.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, vendors, and other stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Used Car Manager or similar role in the automotive industry.
- In-depth knowledge of the Velocity Model and dynamic pricing strategies for used cars.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer service skills.
- Proficient in using automotive industry software and digital marketing tools.
- Ability to analyse data and make informed decisions to drive business growth.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively.
