About This Role

This role forms a critical part of our Utility Locating team. We have been operating as a business since 2005 and had a Utility Locating arm since 2016. 

Since then we have built a thriving locating business with one of the largest teams Australia wide. Our locating team has the capability and skills to provide access services, CCTV, concrete works and various other niche investigation works. 

This role will work with the Locating Operations Manger - organising the schedule, liaising with clients, assisting field teams with all queries & completing administrative tasks such as creating projects in the system, organising SWMS, creating scope emails, organising inductions. 

If you are someone who enjoys working in a team environment, has a high attention to detail, has strong communication skills & has experience within Utility Locating this role may be suitable to you!

This opportunity will provide you with mentoring and training into more of the commercial side of locating. You will have support, mentoring and training from the leadership team to continue your professional development. 

Responsibilities:

  • Organisation and scheduling of all projects to the team 
  • Coordination with clients
  • Technical support to team on all methodologies and project queries
  • QA of locate reports prior to issuing 
  • Organisation of any required subcontractors for projects 
  • Attending site to meet clients and assess scopes
  • Project administration; setup of project, collation of documentation, creation of SWMS, pre qualification documentation 

Role Requirements:

  • Strong Microsoft office skills (word & excel mainly)
  • Strong oral & written  communication skills (must have experience in putting together formal client communication)
  • Experience in a similar coordination or project management role 
  • Must have experience in locating or a strong understanding of Utility Locating
  • Organising traffic control, ROL’s, Jemena and Ausgrid stand-by personnel.
  • Review and QA experience of utility locate reports and data
