The position
Join a newly established Digital Team focused on defining the digital future for World Vision Australia.
You will work in partnership with the wider Digital Experience team and collaborate with key areas from across the organisation to achieve highly rewarding digital experiences that drive sponsorship and support ongoing engagement.
Your role plays an integral part in the organisation, enabling us to support our mission of empowering Australians to create meaningful change for the world’s most vulnerable children and adults.
Your areas of responsibility:
Design engaging high fidelity UI-UX experiences for our digital products to maximise customer engagement and usability across a range of devices
Contribute to the development of digital experience design guidelines, ensuring all customer journeys are executed consistently across digital channels
Employing user-centred design techniques to develop user interface specifications, including wireframes and prototypes (high and low fidelity) and UI design mock-ups
Develop a deep understanding of World Vision Australia customers, sponsors and donors to produce engaging digital products that effectively serve their needs
Proactively identify new opportunities and create design solutions that will improve the digital experience for sponsor, donor and commercial benefit
Collaborate with Customer Experience research and project teams to concept, prototype and test design concepts
Maintain an awareness of current technology and development practices
Develop positive and productive working relationships with stakeholders from across the organisation, leveraging these relationships to help identify new digital experience opportunities
Analyse behavioural and digital data to identify patterns, trends and ways to enhance the digital experience
Provide mentorship and support to the wider digital team, encouraging learning and development in all areas of UX design
Establish and maintain effective relationships with external partners, agencies and vendors
Who we’re looking for
The successful candidate will be a talented UX-UI designer who is empathetic and understanding of customer needs, as well as hugely passionate about doing purpose led work. You will also have prior experience creating user stories, tasks and managing design requirements. Your communication skills will be excellent and you will have an ability to effectively present ideas and design rationale to a diverse group of stakeholders.
A minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role in addition to relevant tertiary qualifications
A demonstrable portfolio of inspired, innovative UX/ UI design work
Highly proficient in visual design tools including Figma or similar
Experience creating interactive prototypes leveraging tools like Axure or similar
Expert understanding of design methodologies, best practice accessibility and web standards
Significant analytics and insights knowledge with an understanding of how to best leverage this data to understand customer behaviour and inform design solutions
Native app design experience (desirable)
