An exciting opportunity to join the Infrastructure branch at the University of Adelaide as an Infrastructure Sustainability Coordinator

The Infrastructure Sustainability Coordinator is responsible for supporting the Infrastructure Branch by guiding, implementing, tracking and reporting on Infrastructure Branch outcomes in relation to the branch targets as set out in the University’s sustainability strategy.

The Infrastructure Sustainability Coordinator will develop, maintain and update reporting templates for capital projects (major and minor) and facilities management contractor activities to track sustainability outcomes and progress against set targets. They will also proactively develop plans to enable the University to demonstrate compliance with current and proposed legislative requirements.

The Coordinator works with Infrastructure Branch staff and external stakeholders including the Manager, Sustainability Strategy to embed sustainability outcomes and initiatives into branch and institutional decision making.

To be successful you will need: 

  • Sound knowledge of and demonstrated experience in building services engineering principles including mechanical and/or electrical, along with preferably hydraulic and / or fire & safety.
  • Demonstrated understanding and experience in energy auditing and engineering feasibility studies.
  • Demonstrated understanding and experience in infrastructure related sustainability and carbon abatement principles.
  • Demonstrated understanding of voluntary and mandatory environmental reporting schemes.
  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to work with a diverse range of stakeholders at all levels of the organisation to influence and effect change.
