Vehicle Body Builder / Fabricator / Heavy Duty Mechanic

Support Vehicles Australia Pty Ltd (SVA) is a leading Design and Manufacture organisation supplying bespoke heavy equipment to key clients primarily in the Mining Industry within Western Australia.

An opportunity is available for an experienced, Trade qualified Fabricator / Vehicle Body Builder / Mechanic to join our Assembly Workshop in a permanent full-time capacity at our Bassendean facility. The successful candidate will enjoy secure employment with a respected organization that produces high-quality products working on new equipment projects.

This position would suit a tradesperson who has experience with truck/trailer modifications or repairs,

Perth based work only, $50-55 per hour.

Working on our NEW trucks, your role will include (but not limited to):

• Chassis modifications

• Body mounting

• ROPS mounting

• Chassis arrival inspections

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and attributes:

• Proven experience in chassis modification and VSB-6

• Good verbal and written communication skills

• Experience in interpreting drawings

• Desire to learn, take direction and follow process

• The ability to work well within a team environment

• Good time management skills

• Positive attitude toward safety, quality and housekeeping

• Experience in the manufacture and refurbishment of service trucks and/or watercarts will be well regarded

Must have a Trade Qualification in Vehicle Body Building or Fabrication or Heavy Vehicle Mechanic.

Desirable Tickets/Certifications:

• Vehicle Repairers certificate

• VSB Certification

• Overhead Crane / Dogging / Rigging

• Forklift license
