After nearly 9 years under its current management, an opportunity has arisen for the top job at the iconic Hotel Darwin located in Mitchell Street, Darwin CBD.
We are seeking a highly motivated, experienced, and organised Venue Manager to join our team.
We are a mid-sized venue group that operates seven popular and diverse venues in WA and NT, as well as an award winning craft beer brand. See our website for more information.
Hotel Darwin has its own distinct personality providing a higher quality offering and consistent service to a broad market of locals and travelers. We pride ourselves on our award winning food and beverage trade, dedicated sports bar and gaming room.
The venue team has a wide discretion to make operational decisions that see its personality thrive. Our experienced head office team provides support across accounting and finance, people management, IT, and key systems.
About this role
As a Venue Manager, you will be responsible the day-to-day operations of the Hotel, its financial performance and management of our team of enthusiastic professionals.
This role would ideally suit someone who has strong experience in managing hotels, who wants career progression and support that a group can provide, whilst having a strong experience base from which we can learn from you.
Requirements:
- Demonstrated hospitality experience within a high-volume environment, preferably with food and gaming experience
- A desire to lead from the front
- Strong leadership, mentorship, and communication skills
- Experience in operating key hospitality systems
- An ability to connect with our target market, and translate customer needs into action
- Initiative, passion, and drive
