Are you a seasoned hospitality manager and FOH professional with a passion for creating exceptional experiences? We're searching for an enthusiastic and dedicated wine bar Venue Manager to bring their expertise to our brand new local and intimate establishment in Fremantle, Western Australia.
Opening imminently, Montreal Local is inspired by and located within the globally significant East Village Knutsford sustainability urban precinct which is seeing a new wave of residents move into the area. Overlooking the leafy and green golf course surrounds it will be an uncomplicated, approachable but sophisticated all day venue.
As Venue Manger you will be joining the company at a pivotal time where you will utilise your leadership, experience and management acumen to bond the already established team to bed down all aspects of the business and operations post opening. You will then train, mentor and be strategic in how you work with the owner and other senior staff to expand the venues offering, incomes streams, brand and loyal customer base to grow this chic local wine bar into a successful, mature and rounded hospitality venue.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee all aspects of the venue including brand, business functions and financial
- Able to regularly work nights and weekends
- Staff Management: Recruit, train, manage and motivate all venue staff who will report through to you. Foster a positive and collaborative team environment that values expertise, attention to detail and enjoying being good at what you do
- Customer Experience: Elevate the overall customer experience by providing personalized service, creating a vibrant atmosphere, and responding to customer feedback
- Inventory Management: Implement efficient inventory control systems for both the bar and wine cellar. Monitor stock levels and minimize waste to optimize profitability. Experience with POS system Light Speed an advantage
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant licensing and health regulations. Uphold high standards of cleanliness, safety, and responsible service. Manage and mentor key lines of report Head Chief and Café Supervisor
- Connect with and understand the local Fremantle community
- Be familiar with and oversee how the venue brand is promoted and perceived on digital platforms
- Grow the venue and expand its offering overtime to achieve turnover growth targets
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Venue Manger or senior Assistance Venue Manager with a Bar and FOH background
- Extensive knowledge of spirits, cocktails, and wines
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
- Exceptional customer service orientation
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Formal qualifications in hospitality, management and related fields an advantage
- Local Fremantle hospitality experience an advantage
Requirements:
- RSA certification
- Approved manager card
- Proficiency in point-of-sale systems (Light Speed preferred) and basic computer skills.
- Knowledge of current industry trends
- Experience in and ability to report on the financial performance of the venue
