Who's Your Mumma is one of Freo's first small bars. We're a local, community oriented bar. Our focus is on quality booze, customer love, & outstanding service.
Key responsibilities
- We're after an enthusiastic leader to drive the bar forward. We want you to run the place as if it is your own. Your job is to drive growth, refresh the venue and vibe, and lead your way.
- Bring your own expression, insight, and vision to the role. We're after someone with some enthusiasm and ambition.
- You'll be the leader, the face of the venue, and the main contact point. We want you inspire, improve, and develop the venue and the team.
- You will lead from the front, by example.
- We really are a small bar - so you will be getting stuck into absolutely everything that needs doing, at some point.
- We run a kitchenette. Food background not strictly required, but enthusiasm is.
- We encourage all our staff to get involved with cocktail contests, industry events, training, and all that good stuff.
- Maintain compliance in all required areas.
Qualifications & experience
- You'll be an experienced bar manager; maybe as a senior duty manager in a large group, or a small bar VM or assistant VM, or a similar role.
- Cocktail game required; with experience in developing your own original drinks as well as being able to assist other staff in fine-tuning their creations.
- You will of course have strong drinks knowledge overall, as you will be choosing our product offering going forward. This includes spirits, wine, cocktails, and craft beer.
- Good relationships with the major reps would be ideal, as would strong connections within the bar scene.
- You'll be all over the core business activities: promotions, social media, stock management, inventory and ordering, cost management, pricing, and absolutely everything that goes into running a small bar.
- We are all about friendly service, regulars, and locals. Your banter, warmth, charm, and friendliness will be outstanding.
- Red card holder.

- The salary package starts at 80k, and is negotiable depending on the applicant. There will also be additional profit/performance based bonus system, as well as salary packaging options.

- We support staff training and development, and we'll want you to take the time to develop our crew's capabilities as well as your own. We're serious about this - past Venue Managers have had trips to Tales of the Cocktail in New Orleans, and Bar Week in Sydney, as part of their skills development.
