About the role
The Venue Sales Manager role involves developing and implementing an annual sales plan in collaboration with the Marketing Team, ensuring all sales materials align with objectives. You'll manage the venue booking calendar to maximise revenue opportunities and achieve sales KPIs by proactively pursuing leads and identifying new business prospects. Additionally, you'll oversee site inspections, prepare quotations, and represent Parramatta Town Hall/PHIVE in outbound sales efforts and networking events.
Your responsibilities extend to preparing and managing bid proposals, coordinating site inspections for potential clients, and developing venue-specific marketing briefs. Furthermore, you'll cultivate external relationships to identify partnership opportunities and negotiate contracts to deliver outcomes aligned with service level agreements.
Your skill set includes:
- Cultivating key relationships, managing multiple projects, and articulating vision to achieve goals.
- Advanced problem-solving and decision-making abilities, you excel at handling sensitive and complex issues.
- Sound understanding of outbound and inbound sales strategies, along with familiarity with civic protocols in local government settings.
- Sales experience in diverse event venues including performances, conferences and exhibitions
- Understanding of event logistics with proven success developing and executing annual sales plans, managing complex venue calendars and negotiating contracts.
Qualifications
- Degree qualification in Sales, Event Management, Marketing, Business or Communications (or a related discipline) or a significant amount of comparable industry experience.

This is a 12 month contract opportunity.
We are offering an attractive salary package from $113,848 to $125,370 plus 11% superannuation.
