- Venue Sales Manager - Botanic Gardens of Sydney
- Ongoing Full Time Opportunity (Monday to Friday), located at Royal Botanic Garden Sydney
- Salary relative to experience, and ranges from $106,025 to $117,363 + super
Our Events & Venues team is currently seeking an experienced and passionate Venue Sales Manager who can implement effective sales and marketing strategies to grow sales in the corporate and private event hire market.

In this role you will
- Drive event sales and exceed annual sales KPIs and ensure event sales budgets are met within set time frames (e.g., Monthly, Quarterly, Annually).
- Liaise and negotiate with clients and stakeholders regarding compliance with conditions of use and hire of venues and sites to ensure functions, events, weddings or bookings are coordinated to fulfil the needs of the stakeholders and have a minimal impact on the collections and lands.
- Provide outstanding customer relationship management, including maintaining proactive working relationships with stakeholders and service providers to balance competing needs and achieve strategic and operational objectives.
- Assist in the development and implementation of an annual business action plan for venue management in line with the division's business and strategic objectives
- Coordinate bookings and internal resources for events, activities and functions including contractor liaison in accordance with policies and procedures and revenue raising requirements.
- Undertake a range of financial and administration activities including monitoring and reporting on income and expenditure, processing purchase orders and invoice requests, issuing receipts, contract preparation, records management and providing input to reviews of fees and charges to contribute to the preparation and management of the Event and Venues budget. Ensure contract compliance by managing contractual arrangements.
- Experience using a digital booking management system, such as Ungerboek
- Deep understanding of the corporate events market (customers, buying patterns, event seasons etc.)
- Presenting events / venues to corporate event buyers via face to face (or virtual) presentations, venue families, showcases.
- Experience in managing and selling events such as weddings, corporate events, product launches.
- Demonstrated experience in a similar role within an exhibition, events, venue, or hotel business.
- Ability to work and/or be contactable outside of normal work hours, during holiday periods and on weekends.
