The Opportunity
The Venue Technical & Safety Supervisor leads floor operations in relation to customer service and staff leadership with a key focus on safety. This role is responsible for leading the technical team to ensure operational efficiencies and the safe setups, operating and breakdowns of audio visual equipment for our events.
Core Responsibilities
- Manage quality control across all technical elements for all events
- Manage the flow of safety documents and ensure all onsite staff are following the required safety processes
- Work closely with the Compliance team to ensure adherence to all safety processes
- Manage the daily paperwork for technical team members
- Assist in maintaining venue tidiness
- Assist in driving Venue Technical standards
- Provides excellent service and strives to exceed the expectations and needs of internal and external customers
- Maintains a positive relationship with all clients through effective communication
- Leads the team in proper security, storage, transportation, and maintenance of equipment
Your Background
- Previous experience in audio visual technology
- Safety focused, with an eye for detail
- Proven track record of managing a large team of people
- Proven management or supervisory experience
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Highly developed customer service skills
- Time management skills; the ability to manage multiple and competing deadlines
- ·Excellent decision making skills
