Role Overview:
We are seeking an efficient and experienced Warehouse Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day operations at our warehouse in Dandenong South. Reporting to the National Operations Manager, this role will include managing inventory, coordinating transportation logistics for all divisions of the SiteTech Group including Edge Protection & Height Safety products, Temporary Fencing and Specialty Products, and ensuring timely pick, pack, and shipment of orders. The Warehouse Supervisor will oversee the warehouse operations maintaining high standards of efficiency, accuracy, and safety with a strong focus placed on customer service, time management and meeting order deadlines with the ability to work autonomously.
Qualifications & experience
- Must possess a great work ethic and willingness to work unsupervised.
- Previous experience in warehouse management or supervisory role, preferably in a distribution or logistics environment.
- Knowledge of inventory management principles and experience with inventory control systems/software.
- Previous experience with manual handling roles is highly desirable.
- Proficient written & verbal communication skills.
- Excellent time management.
- Physically capable of undertaking hands on Pick/Packing and sorting of stock.
- Forklift license.
- Driver's license.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate warehouse activities, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping.
- Manage inventory levels and conduct regular stock checks to ensure accuracy and minimize discrepancies.
- Organize and oversee the transportation of products to and from the warehouse.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and implement measures to maintain a safe working environment.
- Develop and implement efficient warehouse processes and procedures to optimize productivity and minimize costs.
- Collaborate with other departments, including sales and procurement, to fulfill orders accurately and meet customer requirements.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of compliance documentation.
- Utilize warehouse management systems and other technology to track inventory levels, monitor shipments, and generate reports as needed.
- Address any issues or concerns related to warehouse operations promptly and implement corrective actions as necessary.
- Continuously seek opportunities for improvement and implement best practices to enhance overall warehouse efficiency and performance.
- Consolidation of stock daily.
- Receive, pick/pack and wrap orders in a timely and efficient manner.
- Safely operate a 4 tonne forklift
- Container Unloading when required.
