Reporting to the Chartering Manager – Australasia, this role will provide the chartering team and specifically the Chartering Manager - Australasia with effective support to deliver against the overall business strategy. This is a full-time permanent position based in our Perth CBD office, Western Australia.

MMA Offshore has a great opportunity for a Vessel Chartering Coordinator to join our Commercial – Vessel Services division. Reporting to the Chartering Manager – Australasia, this role will provide the chartering team and specifically the Chartering Manager - Australasia with effective support to deliver against the overall business strategy. This is a full-time permanent position based in our Perth CBD office, Western Australia.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing quotations and small proposals.
- Respond to vessel queries, providing availability information as required.
- Monitoring adherence to contractual arrangements that have been established by the Company.
- Managing post contract award of Charter Parties, internal compliance requirements as well as contract amendments.
- Working in collaboration with the Australian Vessel Operations team in supporting contract requirements.
- Reviewing of invoices related to Charter Parties.
- Work in partnership with internal service groups to optimise business performance.
- Supporting the tendering/new business team, where and when required.
- Work with partners as required to complete assigned tasks.
- Liaise with operational staff to ensure close alignment.
- General support to the Chartering Manager on various tasks as required.
- Contribution to the continual development and improvement of fit for purpose support systems.
- University or tertiary qualification in business or commerce would be desirable.
- Marine qualification/sea time considered beneficial.
- Most importantly a passion and interest in working for a ship owner in delivering a first-class service to our clients.
- Past experience in a similar role or prior offshore / Marine industry experience would be advantageous but not essential.
