The Role:
CEA are Currently Recruiting for a Full time VET in Schools (VETiS) Program Supervisor. The VETiS Program Supervisor is Responsible for the establishment and overall functioning of the VET in Schools training program throughout Southeast Queensland.
Duties:
- Developing a strategic plan, and market the VETiS program.
- Managing the communication and ongoing relationships with schools.
- Manage enrolments and monitor progress in VET units of competency.
- Maintain effective functioning of the VET in Schools program.
- Liaising with external parties including Industry contacts and departmental representatives.
- Provide leadership and direction to VETiS trainers to deliver training that is high quality and relevant to the needs of industry and ensure students develop job ready skills or are prepared to engage in further accredited training.
- Work with RTO staff to plan and prepare training and assessment strategies and assessment tools that are suitable for delivery within a VET in Schools context.
- Mentor trainers in effective planning and delivery of classroom training including development of program schedules.
- Identify strategies to improve efficiency and or cost effectiveness.
- Current Certificate IV in Assessment and Workplace Training TAE40116 (or equivalent).
- Trade based Qualifications.
- Driver’s licence
- Ability to obtain a Working with Children Blue Card
- Significant experience in the VET Sector.
- Prior experience in the secondary school environment.
- Significant Supervisory experience.
- Experience in the trades sector.
- Ability to supervise training staff in the delivery of training in classroom situations.
- Knowledge of effective promotional and marketing techniques.
- Ability to listen, assess and assist training staff on problems which they raise in the performance of their duties.
- Ability to identify operational issues in respect to training that require the attention of the manager.
- Ability to identify strategies to improve efficiency and or cost effectiveness.
- Skill to communicate effectively with all team members, other CEA staff, the Training Department, and the Management Team.
