We are pleased to announce an exciting opportunity for a skilled Accountant to join our Financial Services team on a 18-month fixed term maternity leave contract.
As an integral member of the Finance team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring timely and accurate processing of daily transactions, preparation of general ledger reconciliations, and providing essential support for both operational and capital financial service functions at Coliban Water.
A snapshot of your day
Your daily tasks will involve a blend of operational and strategic financial activities, including:
- Routine financial operational and capital management functions for the organisation
- Month end processes
- Financial monitoring and reporting
- Development of documentation to meet compliance obligations
- Financial administration to maintain integrity of the finance system
- Provision of innovative, customer focussed and professional advice and support to Managers, staff and working groups
- Identification and implementation of business improvements and risk controls
- Contribute to a safe workplace and sustainable environment
To be considered for this role you’ll hold a degree qualification in Business or Accounting, demonstrate strong attention to detail, excellent analytical skills and a solutions-oriented mindset. Most importantly, you’ll have a positive and proactive communication style with a customer-centric approach and enjoy collaborating with internal teams and stakeholders.

The salary and conditions for this position will be as per the Coliban Water Enterprise Agreement 2021. Band 4, $91,714 - $110,681 base salary range will be offered to the successful candidate commensurate with their skills and experience.
