Greencross South Tamworth is both a GP hospital and small animal referral centre, servicing around 40 neighbouring clinics, stretching some 500 km, offering specialist medical and surgical services that clients would otherwise have to travel to a capital city to receive.
Our team boasts a broad range of skilled veterinarians including an anaesthetic specialist, along with other experienced vets all with interests in ophthalmology, orthopaedics, medicine, general surgery and pocket pets. Our nurses have special interests in behaviour, dog training and surgical nursing, and many staff have been with the team in excess of 20 years!
About Your New Role;
- A full-time or part-time role - you choose!
- Undertaking general nursing tasks, including pre- and post-operative care, animal pathology and emergency and critical care
- Maintaining the overall hygiene of the practice, including surgical areas and equipment
- Performing minor procedures under Veterinary guidance, when required
- Reception duties when required
Your Skills and Experience will include;
- Cert IV In Veterinary Nursing with 2+ years clinical experience.
- A good knowledge and understanding of veterinary nursing procedures
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work autonomously and within a team environment
- Experience with catheter placements, blood draws, TPR/Triage,
- Competent in anaesthetic monitoring
- Experience with RX or similar highly desirable
