About the Role
 
Swinburne Senior Secondary Programs is seeking a dynamic and proactive VCE/VET Teacher to join our teams at the Croydon and Wantirna campuses. We are looking for an educator who is passionate about innovative student engagement and experiences. As a VCE/VET Teacher, you will inspire, engage, and educate future-ready learners using contemporary learning technologies and pedagogies. You will be at the forefront of curriculum initiatives, working collaboratively with a team of education professionals to deliver high-quality, applied learning-focused education programs.

In this role, you will implement best practices in teaching, customize VCEVM/VPC programs to meet diverse learner needs, and ensure the delivery of exceptional educational experiences. Specialist teachers are required to deliver the following units in the VCE Vocational Major and Victorian Pathways Certificate VPC:
•    Literacy units 1 & 2
•    Literacy units 3 & 4
•    Numeracy units 1 & 2
•    Numeracy units 3 & 4
•    Personal Development Skills units 1 & 2
•    Personal Development Skills units 3 & 4
•    Work Related Skills 1 & 2 
•    Work Related Skills 3 & 4    

Specialist teachers are required to deliver the following Foundation Skills Units (FSK) for TET LNSUPPORT of apprentices in:
•    Advanced Construction 
•    Advanced Engineering
•    Bricklaying & Carpentry
•    Electrotechnology
•    Engineering 
•    Plumbing

About You  
To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities: 

  • Develop and generate enthusiasm about applied education and learning with a focus on encouraging girls in vocational career pathways..
  • Design and develop quality learning and assessment resources that generate authentic learning experiences for students.
  • Develop and/or modify subject teaching and assessment to suit student and/or client needs and specified context. 
  • Make valid and reliable assessment decisions and participate in assessment validation processes.

Qualifications
  • Provisional or full registration with the Victorian Institute of Teachers
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment TAE40110
  • AQF5 level (or above) qualification in Secondary Education
  • Relevant degree in areas applicable to VCE, VETiS and VCAL programs including evidence of currency.
  • Working with Children Check or evidence of application/exemption.
