Claremont Veterinary Hospital has an on-going position available for a suitably qualified Veterinary Nurse registered with the VSBWA.
We are fortunate to have clients that are truly invested in their pet’s well-being and follow our guidance on case workups. This means we have some very finely tuned geriatrics and medical cases that you can truly make a difference to.
Our Position
The role is both client facing (admission and discharge appointments, dental checks, repeat injections) and clinical/surgical (blood draws, general anaesthesia, radiographs etc). It is pivotal in helping our team achieve quality patient and client care.
About You
You are a professional nurse that pays attention detail. You empathise with client’s fears as they hand over their pet to you for surgery. You are organised and efficient whilst maintaining a sense of calm. You enjoy both human and animal communication. It goes without saying that you have integrity, are honest and respect your co-workers and clients and that you are happy to follow instructions and ask questions.
Overseas trained nurses must be eligible for registration with VSBWA. Working holiday makers are welcome to apply for a 3-6 month position.
Our Practice
We are 100% small animal practice. We utilise visiting consultants and specialists and refer patients out for advanced surgery or medical workups.
We are open Monday – Friday 7:45am – 6:15pm and Saturdays 8-1pm. There are no patients in hospital overnight so there are no afterhours duties. Shifts are either all day with a 45-minute lunch break or finish at 4pm.
We use Ezyvet – it's not always easy but generally it behaves.
