Veterinary Receptionist Full-Time / Part-Time

Brindabella Veterinary Referral Service is excited to announce that we have a reception position available due to the growth of our service.  We are looking for the right individual who shows initiative, has a positive team focused attitude and is eager to provide exceptional service to our wonderful client base.

Our surgical service is the only privately owned specialist surgical service in Canberra. We are a small team focused on providing an excellent service to pets, their owners and our referring primary care veterinarians.  Although our service is relatively new our case load is growing rapidly and you will find our team works in a happy and fast paced environment. You will be joining an enthusiastic and hard-working team who strive to go above and beyond.  Our service operates independently from within the Capital Paws community of practices.

If successful, you will have the vital role of being the first point of contact for our clients, ensuring an easy point of communication for all pet owners and the primary-care veterinarians referring to us.  Your role is supported by our team of nursing and support staff to enable the creation of a successfully scheduled day for the whole team.  We highly value team work and aim to support each other to provide the best service in a positive and successful environment.  Knowledge of EzyVet practice management system is valuable but not essential.  We encourage continued professional development and provide opportunity for ongoing training.

The qualities that we are looking for in our new team member include your excellent communication skills, your capacity to work autonomously but know when to ask for help, your punctuality and reliability, your ability to lean into a challenge and work under pressure as well as your willingness to be a team player.

This role is preferably full time, although part time options will be considered for the right applicant. There is no weekend or after hours expectations with this role. Experience within the veterinary industry is preferred, but not essential. The conditions are consistent with the award and the remuneration will be dependent on experience.
