We are looking for a self motivated and confident Buyer / Product Manager to help drive our growing breadth of categories.
The key focus of this role is to develop comprehensive Brand and Category strategies for the nominated Product Categories. This includes identifying trends, co-developing and sourcing innovative products to satisfy identified sales opportunities, negotiating costs and helping to manage the supply chain as relevant.
About the Role :
This position will work closely with the Head of Category to champion the ‘Go-To-Market Strategy’ and assist the Sales and Marketing Team to implement a comprehensive ongoing best in class offering in their nominated categories. A core component of the role is working with peers and the design team to deliver consistency in brand values and presentation.
About You :
Experience in an FMCG is beneficial but not essential, with Consumer Product Sourcing experience highly regarded.
- General understanding of local & overseas sourcing, supply chain & inventory management
- Experience in developing Product and Category Plans
- Ability to manage and balance consumer, retail customer and internal demands
- Proven analytical skills to enable understanding of retail customer and consumer trends
- Well-developed presentation skills to confidently present internally and externally
- The ability to manage complex workflows and efficiency in completing multiple tasks / priorities
- A team player who positively adds to team culture
- Willing to travel as required to attend trade shows, factories, customers meetings
- Flexible and adaptable
Technical and Professional Competencies :
