About the role
The Emergency Services Program Officer, Recovery will support communities to prepare for, respond to and recover well from disasters.
The Emergency Services Program Officer Recovery will use a community development approach to build local partnerships, facilitate and strengthen relationships between Emergency Services agencies, local service providers and organisation’s and communities to support the delivery of programs and projects that build community resilience.
About you
- Experience in planning and delivering project/program outcomes in collaboration with the community and other service providers.
- Experience in community engagement and/or community development; and conversant in supporting a community-led approach to disaster recovery and disaster preparedness.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, be highly motivated and able to use initiative to deliver outcomes to support community recovery and disaster preparedness.
- Ability to work under general direction from senior employees within clear objectives and budget constraints and work with and support teams and people from diverse backgrounds and create a collaborative working environment.
- Sound analytical skills and demonstrated ability to assess, evaluate and solve problems.

This role is covered by the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Award - Level 4. Salary from $82,063.28 FTE + superannuation + access to salary packaging.
