The Role:
Multiple exciting opportunities exist for responsible and mature minded individuals to join the Emergency Services Clerical team at Northern Health. This role will be trained and act across the Emergency Department (ED), Short Stay Unit (SSU), Victorian Virtual Emergency Department (VVED) and the Chest Pain Evaluation Unit (CPEU), however available shifts on offer are mostly placed within the VVED due to current growth and expansions. These roles will be offered at a Fixed Term part-time position with the opportunity to pick up additional permanent part time hours in the future.
The multiple position's are 12 months - Fixed Tem contracts.
We are currently seeking multiple staff who must be able to service a 24/7 department, including day shifts (7.00am - 15.00pm), afternoon shifts (15.00pm - 23.00pm) and overnight shifts (23.00pm - 07.00am). Consistency and reliability are essential with three working days availability as a minimum, including weekends and public holidays. Applicants must have flexibility to support the Emergency Services Clerical Workforce planned and unplanned leave, sometimes at short notice.
To be successful in this role you must have:
- Availability to commit to a two week reoccuring roster, with a minimum of three shifts per week
- COVID vaccination (including booster)
- Influenza vaccination
- Highly skilled ability in the Microsoft suite of software or similar
- Demonstrated excellence in customer service
Desired skillset includes:
- Previous experience in an Emergency Department or Healthcare setting
- Previous experience in greeting patients and stakeholders in person and by phone
- Exceptional customer service skills and ability to work under pressure in a intense environment.
- Knowledge of iPM/ / CPF / CERNER software or similar
- Demonstrated ability to multitask and prioritise
