Key objectives

  • Develop and implement comprehensive Business Development strategies to drive revenue growth and expand market presence.
  • Identify and evaluate new business opportunities, including licensing agreements, partnerships, acquisitions, and strategic alliances.
  • Conduct thorough market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs.
  • Perform comprehensive due diligence on potential licensing and acquisition targets, including evaluating their scientific, regulatory, and commercial viability.
  • Oversee the management and optimization of the company's product portfolio to ensure alignment with corporate objectives and market demand.
  • Evaluate the performance of existing products, identify areas for improvement, and make data-driven recommendations for portfolio enhancements.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to prioritize product development initiatives and pipeline expansion efforts.
  • Cultivate strategic partnerships and collaborations with key stakeholders, including pharmaceutical companies, research institutions, and government agencies.
  • Negotiate and finalize partnership agreements, ensuring mutually beneficial terms and clear deliverables.
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with licensing and acquisition deals, ensuring the company’s best interests are protected.
  • Maintain accurate records of all licensing and acquisition activities, preparing reports for senior management and stakeholders.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Life Sciences, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.

Required Experience

  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in Business Development, Portfolio Management, and strategic leadership roles within the pharmaceutical industry.

Required Skills

  • Proven track record of driving revenue growth, executing successful Business Development initiatives, and expanding market presence.
  • Strong understanding of pharmaceutical product development, regulatory requirements, and global market dynamics.
  • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and market trends to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Exceptional leadership abilities, with a demonstrated ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams to achieve common goals.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset and a passion for driving innovation and business transformation.
