We have an opportunity for a highly experienced Operations Manager to support our Laverton North Head Office site.
The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast paced environment with extensive experience providing leadership and effective commercial and operational decision making.
Working in collaboration with our people, you’ll achieve and exceed operational and financial metrics. You will take ownership to identify and deliver continuous improvement initiatives and support and mentor the operational team.
The role:
- Control and oversee all aspects of operations (transport, containers, and warehousing).
- Manage/support/mentor the operational teams
- Support workforce planning and rostering
- Responsible for driver management/engagement
- Ensure optimal asset utilisation
- Drive talent management and performance to promote succession planning
- High level people engagement, mentoring and leadership
- Conduct regular toolbox talks
- Conduct regular performance reviews
- Ensure Inventory control is managed , maintained with cyclic audits
- Ensure site compliance audits, inspections are completed
- Assist with the development of new business
- Analyse & review operational reporting and provide recommendations on performance efficiencies
- Monitor capital expenditures
About you:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Transport Operations role
- Experienced change agent
- Demonstrated ability to build and lead a high performing team
- Outstanding influencing and relationship building skills
- KPI driven
- Proficient using Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and basic WMS/TMS software
- Knowledge and understanding of NHVAS, CoR (Fatigue Management, Load planning and Mass Management), Dangerous Goods Awareness and Segregation requirements)
