About your new role

We're looking for an enthusiastic and experienced videographer with strong supporting production skills to join our in-house video and content production team. You enjoy collaborating and relish the challenge to deliver rich media content (shooting and editing video content). Your skills are grounded in traditional videography, yet you are curious and passionate about taking a multi-disciplined approach to storytelling and exploring new media channels.

About you

• You are proficient in camera operations with demonstrated high level editing skills – you are capable of fast turnaround.
• You are proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud Suite, primarily Premiere, with a knowledge of photo editing and design software After Effects, Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop/Lightroom. 
• You have a tertiary qualification in social media communication, media studies, film and/or television, or equivalent experience.
• Technical understanding of digital video cameras and camera operations, lighting, sound recording, editing, reliable and professional post-production workflows.
• A minimum of five years’ experience shooting, editing and production in television, filming or production.  
• Demonstrated experience in concept development, shooting and editing video content for different audiences and channels (television commercials, social media, stories, reels, animation and web)
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy of work and adherence to best practice video production principles. 
• Ability to adapt to changing organisational priorities and client needs.
• A good knowledge of Council products and services, relevant policies and guidelines. 
• Exceptional organisational, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Knowledgeable in visual language and storytelling.
• Understanding of various video codecs (mp4, h.264, ProRes etc) and file types (Photoshop/ JPEGs etc.)
• Knowledge of industry standard script development and writing
• Ability to produce supporting animation and graphics to enhance video content (After Effects, Premiere)
