- Contribute to the professional development of senior and junior medical staff.
- Supervise and teach rotational provisional fellows, registrars and JMOs in the department.
- Work in collaboration with the Director of Anaesthesia to improve service delivery and patient management.
- Provide clinical services for surgical patients requiring advanced pain management and other hospital patients who require the assistance of a consultant anaesthetist.

- Adaptability in use of medical IT applications e.g. electronic medical records & prescribing.
- Commitment to undergraduate and post graduate teaching in medicine, nursing and allied health.
- A Primary Medical Degree registrable by the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) & Fellowship of the Australia & New Zealand College of Anaesthetists.
