We are the state's leading provider of specialist care for children with acute and chronic conditions as well as being SA's largest maternity and obstetric service.

The Opportunity
WCHN is recruiting our cohort of Visiting Medical Specialists for 3-year contract period, commencing on 1 July 2024 in various specialties across our Division of Surgical Services, Division of Paediatric Medicine and Division of Women's and Babies.
Paediatric Medicine
The Division of Paediatric Medicine is the largest Women's and Children's Hospital division and aims to provide high quality health care for children and young people in an environment which meets their needs and the needs of their families.
Paediatric Medicine is currently recruiting Visiting Medical Specialists in the below specialities:

Surgical Services
The Division of Surgical Services coordinates and manages support to the surgical departments and units of the WCH. The hospital is the main referral centre for complex paediatric surgical conditions, for South Australia, the Northern Territory and some regional centres in Eastern Victoria and Eastern New South Wales and supports a clinical and science research and teaching program.

Women's and Babies
The Women's and Babies Division offers expert care in Gynaecology and Obstetrics. Our Gynaecology Unit provides a general gynaecologist service for women and expert clinical care in advanced endoscopic procedures. Our Obstetrics Service offers a multidisciplinary approach to many obstetric conditions, and includes the High Risk Perinatal Service, Antenatal Diagnostics and Counselling Service and a Fetal-Maternal Service.
