- This role is permanent full-time, 76hrs/fortnight.
- • You have the availability to work Monday to Friday 7:30am to 3:30pm (and occasional weekend or Public Holiday shifts, as per business needs).
- As part of the recruitment process this role requires a pre-employment check for final candidates.
- If you are successful for this role, you will be required to obtain a National Police Check.
- Contributing to positioning the IKEA store as the first choice for home furnishing in your local market.
- Providing home furnishing solutions for a single product or a combination of products to improve people's life at home.
- Demonstrating the uniqueness of the IKEA product range through your visual merchandising competence and display techniques in different store media and activity areas to distance us from the competition.
- Working with vitality to motivate people to visit the IKEA store more frequently.
- Securing the use of the store layout as a commercial tool to plan and implement commercial strategies throughout the store while creating a good overview and strong visual impact.
- Coach a team of Visual Merchandisers to develop their creative problem-solving skills to ensure that we are delivering on commercial results and sales opportunities.
- Recruiting, developing, and leading your team by encouraging open, constructive, and honest, two-way feedback.
- A deep passion, curiosity, energy and understanding of home furnishing and people's everyday lives at home.
- Proven problem-solving abilities to assess options, identify and implement creative, innovative and flexible solutions with the Visual Merchandise remit
- Ideally a higher education qualification in visual merchandising or industrial design, and a solid background of working as a Visual Merchandiser.
- Proficient ability in Microsoft Office and experience working with SketchUp, AutoCAD and/or Revit.
- Proven experience in people leadership, a motivational leader who can engage people fully to reach set goals and generate growth and long-term profitability.
- Confident in communicating, influencing, and coaching others and continually seek new opportunities to improve the way we work, and encourage your team to do so.
