• This role is permanent, full-time 76hrs/fortnight

About this work area
As Visual Merchandising/Activity Co-worker your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
• Contributing to positioning the IKEA store as the first choice for home furnishing in your local market.
• Providing home furnishing solutions for a single product or a combination of products to improve people’s life at home.
• Demonstrating the uniqueness of the IKEA product range through your visual merchandising competence and techniques in different displays in store to distance us from the competition.
• Engaging others through the ability to visualise and present a commercial idea.
• Working with new and unique display concepts to motivate people to visit the IKEA store more frequently.
• Constantly on the move in the store to successfully implement your tasks and duties.
As Visual Merchandising/Activity Co-worker you are:
• Passionate the work of implementing your designs from a sketch into reality, as you are a practical and hands on individual, with proven ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Curious and driven to understand home furnishing and people’s everyday life at home, grasping the fundamentals of visual merchandising principles.
• A creative thinker, with commercial visual competence and a keen eye for aesthetics.
• Able to demonstrate excellent communication skills.
• Experienced with programs such as REVIT, preferred but not essential. Having a Design qualification, previous Visual Merchandising experience and experience in Adobe Creative Cloud & Microsoft Office is preferred.
