What you'll be doingProvide contemporary comprehensive specialist services for optimal patient outcomes.
Provide and support training to clinicians across multiple disciplines to achieve quality education and safe clinical practice.
The successful applicant will be registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia as a General Practitioner, Specialist Anaesthetist, or GP in training and/or overseas trained specialist pathways. Maintain current professional development and certification requirements as per the Joint Consultative Committee on Anaesthesia (JCCA) and the RACGP or ACRRM.Occupational Assessment, Screening and Vaccination against Specified Infectious Diseases
If you are applying for a Category A position, under the NSW Health Policy Directive PD2022_030, evidence of current immunity status that complies with the policy must be supplied.
Salary will be accordance with NSW Health State Awards for the advertised classification/s. These awards are available at http://www.health.nsw.gov.au/careers/conditions/pages/default.aspx.
Selection Criteria
- Eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia as a General Practitioner, and GP Doctor in training and/or overseas trained specialist pathways.
- Joint Consultative Committee on Anaesthesia (JCCA) accreditation as GP Anaesthetist.
- Current employment arrangement or contract with a GP Practice in the Macleay Area and a commitment to continue to provide a substantial general practice service in the Macleay area.
- Demonstrated recent clinical experience in Anaesthesia at the role delineation of the service
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team and provide leadership of a team.
- Demonstrated effective clinical communication through the use of information technology and written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to teaching, continuing education, research and quality improvement.
- Availability to participate in an on-call roster and to respond on site within a reasonable time.
