Position: Vocational Education Teacher
We are looking for a full-time permanent Vocational Education Teacher to undertake the key responsibilities of delivering and assessing Diploma and Advanced Diploma level courses that is being offered by Australian Careers College/ Darwin Campus under its Business and Management streams in a very dynamic environment. Essential criteria:
- Mandatory VET qualifications with relevant Higher Degrees a plus;
- TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or the equivalent.
- Relevant industry background and experience;
- At least two years experience in the VET sector.
Key responsibilities:
- Plan, design and develop relevant VET qualifications and method of instruction;
- Provide training on prescribed qualifications; undertake discussions, facilitate workshops and laboratory sessions by utilizing face to face teaching, utilizing multimedia aids and computer tutorials;
- Assign tasks, mark and grade student assignments, project works and presentation, and advise student on course related issues by responding to their queries;
- Maintain records of students’ progress, attendance and training activities.
- Provide constructive feedbacks to students about their progress/performances;
- Discuss and interact with students to determine individual learning needs, and shape and refine tools and material fit to their needs;
- Liaising with individuals, industry and education sectors to ensure provision of relevant programs and services;
- Actively take part in internal validation and moderation of qualifications to address compliance;
- Work in consultation with the ACC training and academic management team.

- Ability to work in a team and prioritise work.
Salary : A$70,000+ 11% Superannuation
Annual Leave: 4 weeks
Working Hours: 38 Hrs per week.
