Description
This position will see you apply your qualifications and industry experience to a new career path, providing the opportunity to educate, develop, and pass on your knowledge to apprentices eager to join the industry. Your responsibilities will include;
- Plan & conduct lessons and programs to ensure successful delivery of courses in Certificate's II, III & IV and associated qualifications (either electrical, plumbing, or building and construction).
- Manage administrative, coordination, and learning services activities for assigned programs.
- Collaborate with colleagues in team teaching and research of mentoring models.
- Maintain accurate student records and provide support for student progress.
- Provide pre-course advice, assist with student selection, and conduct inductions.
- Utilise diverse adult learning methods and stay informed of educational developments.
- Communicate regularly with Program Leaders to ensure consistency in delivery strategies.
- Set and achieve teaching objectives in collaboration with Program Leaders.
- Assist in securing and managing work placements or vocational experiences.
- Develop teaching resources and assessments meeting curriculum and client needs.
- Engage in professional development and ongoing curriculum development.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain a quality service and ensure program effectiveness.
To be considered for this opportunity, you will meet the following prerequisites.
- Hold valid qualifications in either Electrical, Plumbing, or Building and Construction
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116 or TAE40110).
- Full Australian Working Rights.
- Understanding of adult learning principles and learner-centered teaching.
- Strong planning, scheduling, and deadline management skills.
- Excellent teaching, assessment, and student management abilities.
- Capacity to initiate change and implement innovation.
- High-level interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency in ICT for e-learning and reporting.
- Commitment to Occupational Health and Safety, Anti-Discrimination, Quality Assurance, and Continuous Improvement.
- Current Working with Children Check (Employee) and National Police Check mandatory.
