As the Manager of this incredible bar, you'll oversee the team, ensuring the delivery of exceptional service while championing sustainability initiatives and showing off Mona’s creativity.
From crafting exquisite cocktails, showcasing premium beverages, and leading a highly creative and motivated specialist team - you'll play a pivotal role in elevating the drink offerings and providing a high standard of service to all the Mona patrons.
The Role:
- Lead the Void Bar team by setting a stellar example;
- Leverage your expertise in classic cocktails and bar operations to support business objectives;
- Motivate and inspire the team, emphasising the importance of attitude and experience;
- Collaborate with the Void Team on innovative projects;
- Prepare bespoke cocktails for individuals and large-scale events;
- Drive eco-friendly initiatives to maintain sustainable practices;
- Manage equipment and beverage inventory, conducting regular stocktakes;
- Design and drive the cocktail program across the multiple Hospitality venues at Mona;
- Work with Hospitality Management on negotiating best beverage product pricing.
The You:
- A desire to be part of the Tasmania Hospitality Industry;
- Passionate and committed to bar sustainability;
- Strong knowledge of the Tasmanian beverage industry and a commitment to its future;
- Experience in creating low-proof beverages with a focus on seasonal produce;
- Barista skills and experience are advantageous;
- Extensive knowledge of classic cocktails, craft beer, and local wines is essential;
- Dedication to delivering unparalleled customer experiences;
- Exceptional communication skills and the ability to foster a welcoming atmosphere;
- Minimum of 4 years of managerial experience in a similar bar environment;
- RSA certification is essential;
- Flexibility with availability across operational and preparation days (Thursday - Monday) with mainly day shifts in line with museum operations plus occasional evening events.
