Australian Kookaburra Kids Foundation (AKKF) supports young people aged between 8-18 years of age, living in families affected by mental illness.
We make a difference in the lives of the young people we support through our age-based early intervention programs.
The opportunity:
Reporting to the Workforce Planning and Rostering Coordinator, this remote full-time role is responsible for the day-to-day scheduling of volunteers on AKKF programs. Our volunteers are essential to the delivery of our programs and need a highly organised and solutions focussed coordinator to support them.
Although a remote role, the ideal candidate will be based in QLD, NSW or VIC. In person attendance of our programs may be required on occasion as a requirement of the role.
Responsibilities include:
- Coordinate the scheduling of volunteers on program to ensure AKKF’s operational requirements are met.
- Conduct forward planning to identify any gaps in volunteer scheduling on programs, escalating as need, to resolve identified gaps.
- Work with volunteers to understand their availability to participate in programs.
- Ensure volunteers are communicated with proactively and supported whilst being scheduled for programs.
- Maintain a current and accurate database of active volunteers, ensuring it is accurate at all times on Better Impact (i.e., new volunteers added, and ceasing/inactive volunteers archived).
- Facilitate bulk interview sessions to identify volunteers that align to AKKF and the programs we offer young people.
- Complete reports as required by AKKF, within in agreed time frames and to agreed standards.
About you:
To be successful in this role you will:
- Qualification in Community Engagement or demonstrated experience in a similar role.
- Demonstrated experience in rostering and timesheet coordination.
- Demonstrated coordinating recreational programs.
- Understanding of Work Health and Safety and risk management requirements.
- Proficient Microsoft Office Suites.
- Experiences in working with CRMs or similar IT programs.
- Strong attention to detail and highly organised.
- Strong communication skills (including written, oral, and virtual).
- Maintain a driver’s license and have access to own vehicle.
- Maintain eligibility to work in Australia.
Desirable:
- Experience in the Not-for-Profit sector and working with young people.
- Experience in the Mental Health sector.
- Experience in working with Better Impact.
