About the role
This role proactively reaches out to potential volunteers to explore joining MercyCare’s incredible team of volunteers. Through capturing peoples stories the role promotes opportunities across our organisation and supports volunteers through the onboarding journey. Ideally you'll be available Mon, Wed and Thurs 9am - 2pm, across our Mirrabooka and West Perth locations, but there is flexibility to accommodate study or other committments.
About you
You’ll have a love of connecting and building relationships with people from all walks of life and be able to inspire others with the benefits of volunteering. You’ll have strong writing and administration abilities along with effective skills in using social media to promote messages. Your key experience will include:
- Ideally qualifications in community development or social services, or working towards
- Experience with social media platforms
- Be systems savvy across the Microsoft Office suite with excellent computer literacy and numeracy skills
- Love being busy, with the ability to prioritize tasks and deadlines
- Complete work accurately and on time with a strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills (listening, acknowledge different views, collaboration, written and verbal)
- A love of customer service and helping others achieve outcomes
- COVID and Influenza vaccinations are preferred but not required
- National Police Clearance (obtained within the last six months)
